Dr. Prithiviraj Chellamuthu received his PhD in Molecular Biology under the guidance of Dr. Kenneth Nealson at University of Southern California, USA. Prior to that, he received his MS in Biological Engineering from Utah State University, USA and his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, India. From 2006- 2013, he has served as a Research Assistant in department of Molecular Biology at University of Southern California, USA. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. James Boedicker in the Department of Physics at the University of Southern California, USA. His research work focuses on using synthetic biology tools to develop green chemistry methods to synthesize Nanomaterials. Additionally, he is interested in science communication, teaching science, and addressing environmental and public health challenges through scientific research. He is the author and coauthor of several articles in scientifically reputed journals.
